Sending the Lovebug Necklace off

I am sending the lovebug necklace off today to it's first home with Jennifer Cerny. I am so excited to see if the magic of the necklace works for her as it did for me!

I wore the necklace for a few days - including the first few days of back to work! Which for me meant BACK TO SCHOOL with 25 lovely fifth graders. As I anxiously awaited my new crop of kids to arrive, I found myself with my hand around the necklace. I was anxious about if my new students would like me (as I am every year) and also missing my baby, Landyn. As my hand wrapped around the necklace, I thought of all of the amazing women that the necklace represented. I was suddenly calmed and ready for the arrival of my new students.

I told many people the story of the necklace in the days that I wore it as well. They wanted to know about each charm and what it represented. I told them about the strength of Kim and how the cross represented our two angels, and about Walker, and really about all of the babies and their moms. I let them know that the ladies this locket was traveling to were some of my very closest friends, and that I wished everyone could belong to a group like we do.

And with that love and admiration and appreciation and gratitude, I send the lovebug necklace on it's trek around the continent. It will journey from CT to many different states, and even another country to our Canada mamas. I can't wait to see the adventures the lovebug necklace takes and to read the stories. I hope that my fellow mamas will blog about their experiences, and I hope that you all (whoever you are!) enjoy reading it.

Good luck with the necklace Jen, and all of my other Feb Mamas. I love you all.
